May 19, 2006 - Annual Meeting
At 7PM the NFA May Board joined with members and guests for our 2006 annual meeting.  Some new officers were appointed, Tim Northrop has been
appointed to the Board Secretary, replacing Coke Cramer and Ed Kelleher is succeeding Wes Gillngham as Vice President.  The business meeting
included reports from the President - Martha Wright, Treasurer and Membership Committee Chair - Guy Peterson, The Land Stewardship Chair - Bob
Eckenrode, Holcombe Preserve Property Committee Chair - CaraLeigh Wilson and Land Acquisition Committee Chair - Tim Northrop.  

Afterwhich the Board publicly announced the rekindling of the
Newtown Forest Association's Largest Tree Contest.   The Board elaborated on the
details on the type of tree and rules and deadlines that can be found by the link above.  

In addition, the Board selected its dates to run the
2006 Summer Trail Hike Program commencing with the first hike on June 3rd
in honor of
CT Trails Day.

This followed by the introduction of our guest speaker Claire Delavigne who spoke about GEOCACHING and several newly listed caches hidden on the
NFA properties.  Refer to the link for more information on the
