| The NFA expresses its sincere condolences to the families affected and grieves along with the rest of our community. The NFA has been greatly honored to host the memorial located at our Glen property in Sandy Hook Center. The NFA has been approached by several donors wishing to support planting of trees in memory of the victims. The NFA has established a Fund to accept these donations and will restrict the use of these funds to prepare, plant and maintain a living memorial to honor these victims. For almost 90 years the Newtown Forest Association (a public charity under IRS regulations 501c(3) has helped the community and has maintained a memorial trail at one of its properties since 1968. All donations are tax-deductible and those designated for the Sandy Hook School Memorial Tree Fund will be restricted to preparing, planting and maintaining a living memorial to honor these victims.
